Got my AK seeds today I'm going to start to germinate them soon, Can I use a regular Fluorescent Tube that i'd buy from a hardware if so,can someone give me specifications on what tubes to buy or do I need to get the one my guy has in the local grow store (pretty expensive)?? Thanks in advance:idea:

I just use a cheap shop light I got at Lowes for 12 bucks.
It's worked fine for all of my seedlings and clones.

yes a fluorescent will work, but make sure u get one in the right "spectrum". Right now u should be looking in the range of 6500k. Here is a link to the EXACT system I use during veg, from seed through the first 3 weeks. It is one thin, tiny yet power 56W CFL. When I bought it it was like $50 shipped from Amazon, a bit more now, but maybe u can find it cheaper. It is IDEAL for seedlings & the price is right!
