Veg to flower transition

from a 24hr veg light cycle to a 12/12 for flower I’ve always just transitioned straight over and began my flower schedule.
Does anyone ever do any type of transition period between veg and flower, in reference to lighting?

I've read about some people lowering their hourly light cycle every few days over a week or 2. They feel it provides a more stress free transition. I've never personally tried it though. I always just switch the plants into the flower room which was always on 12/12 or some close version of that . They take how ever long they need to naturally transition and begin flowering when they start forming flowers.
