ventilation question

I am going to be setting up a 4x4 tent. I am buying s 6" inline fan and carbon filter. Now there are Velcro vents on the bottom to suck in clean air. If I am pulling air in from the vents how will it keep in the stinky air?

negative pressure, PASSIVE intake hole(meaning no intake fan)

Filter goes to the fan which goes to the light then out the tent.

The fan can be before or after the light. I suggest before because if it's after you run a greater risk of the bearings burning out from the hot air consistently passing over them for 12-18 hours a day.

MrShim, thanks for the Pic. One question, the Fan will pull more air if placed to pull air, correct? If you wanted to put the fan b/t the Carbon and the Hood, it will still work though right. Reason I ask is the S & P TD-150 fan is expensive, and even though it is rated to run at 140F, I don't want to take that chance.

Any info on this is appreciated. Especially the likely reduction in airflow from placing the fan b/t the carbon and hood.

I'd be lying if I say I knew which was most efficent. I've done both, fan before and after the light. The temperature was always the same regardless so I just run the fan before the light.
