Venting hps to window (stealth)

I've been looking around and have a few ideas, but would like some help.

I have a 400w air cooled hood and 160-180 cfm vortex fan and scrubber 4".. I will have to use 4" -6" upsizer to fit the 4" fan to the hood. That's not a big deal, but I'm really not sure if this fan will cool my light and 3x3 tent.

If it does cool the tent I have to have somewhere to send the heat. I do have a window right next to my tent. Probably 300 people per day walk within 10 feet of this window. Any noise, stink, shiny silver or light would not be acceptable.

This window has a vertical blind. I am afraid to have the vertical blind open at all since we have gardeners and security around and they could possible see in.

Maybe I can build a white box about the size of one slat and vent into there and let it flow out the window. Still sounds risky..
Otherwise if I just vent into the 12x12 room I think that room will just heat up too much... If I run a fan to blow the heat into the hallway I guess that could work, but it's not ideal..

I have no crawl space or attic or anything...

Boom! Here is an idea... Freeze gallons of water then place them into a 10 gallon bin and vent into the bin... Would that be doable?

I know what you're dealing with. I have plenty of windows perfect for venting out my basement but with neighbors and the risk of someone snooping around and hearing or noticing a fan/constant air movement out a window is kinda scetchy. Then theres the smell issue. With people walking right by my house, escpecially the mail man, you really gotta have faith in that carbon scrubber. What I have to do is just seal it and control it with ac and dehumidifiers. I will open a couple windows every other day or so, when I home, and get a good air exchange. Then I close it all up again. Security is a bitch

Your ice in a tote idea might work to keep temps in check but your humidity will go through the roof.

Same problem here. I vent into my house and pull from the window. You dont hear the exhaust by the window, lights run cooler, may also use lights at night for cooler temps and to warm you're house if you need it. The only drawback is slightly more humidity in the grow room.

How do you pull from the window without it being visible to the outside?

I am thinking I can get a piece of square PVC fence post and drill holes in it then cap one end and attach the other end to the intake hose. Then I can crack the window 6 inches and place the air bar (fence post) in the window and close the window on top of it.

I have not fired up my 400 yet. I have run two 150 w hps in a room and just used a window fan in the room to keep the cool air coming in. This worked ok, but the added heat in my bedroom was an annoyance. It was always a few degrees warmer.

I am hoping that the 400 is more efficient so maybe I am over reacting to a problem that may not be that big of a deal. The tent is in a guest room. Maybe I can just vent into the room, keep the window cracked and use a decent fan to blow the heat into the hallway. Night time temps here are normally in the 60's to low 70's.

i use air conditioning ducts, both intakes in every room have 2 bends in each duct to block light from the outside. my intake is active but passive will be quiet. you have to isolate a spot on your window and the intake from the room that your cab is in. why? because your cabs intake will be forced to suck from your window and exhaust through the cracks on the bottom of the room door. just try to get a little stealthy and make your windows blend with each other. what i HIGHLY recommend is getting a good filter for your intakes so bugs dont get sucked in. gnats will go right through a window screen, and i have had it happen to me twice already. solved with a dust shroom filter or anything alike.

I dont do it for stealth reasons but you could build a window box out of 2x4 and plywood on the inside of the window. Leave the blinds in and closed so it just looks like a regular window with the blinds closed. Then run your ducting into the plywood, crack the window open a little bit and the ducted air will be forced out the cracked window because it has no where else to go. It also makes your room completely dark during lights out, no light leaks. And it doesnt allow any light outside so no one can tell your growing.

I like this idea, but I think my blinds might blow around a bit.. Maybe if I tape them down or secure them somehow..

Gorilla tape the shit out of it and throw a curtain behind it. If your cab starts to create positive pressure in your room then just open the door.

What about a closed loop for the light to keep it cool in and out the same window....

Then use the scrubber on another fan to take air into the house?
