It will release heat, so in the snowy season that spot will thaw first , if that applies to you . Duct silencer , exhaust fan speed control both help with noises
Don't really get snow here, but good point. Sealed may be easier/safer.
Good luck and keep in mind you'll still need to replace the air at least twice a day even with a sealed room. ( Just my opinion )
i just went through 2 different 6" filters that didnt do a fucking thing and that was in veg. I have a 4" that worked great and i have no idea why i switched brands for the 6 but i got another of that brand and it fixed everything. IMO for the money they are best thing going. http://a.co/f8gwRsx
I've been growing for a year. I bought a kit off the internet that was cheap. On my first run I had dank stank at week 6. That's just how I thought it was. I knew you should change the filter after a year so I went to my hydro guy and he paired a Can 66 Filter to my fan which is 435 cfm. The new filter is considerably bigger and heavier. I installed it (during week 7 of my last run) turned it on, left the condo for 20 minutes and when I came back the dank was gone. That fast. It was about $200cdn and my guy said that it will last at least 2 years. He's had his 3 and its still working. For me stealth is key so this was a godsend.
The slower the air flow the better the filter works.
Acoustic ducting, Quality Carbon filter rated much higher than the fan, Ona in the loft space. Seal around beams with sealant if the beams are running through to the neighbours house. Insulation in the loft will dull down any noise of airflow. Plaster board on the ajoining wall of the neighbours house. Isolation of the fan. Big fan turned down with a variable transformer (variac).
Yea it's definetly not leaks, I used high quality ducting tape and went nuts. I bought the filter online and it wasn't very pricy. I'm thinking I got a low quality/defective filter.
Get some new charcoal and repack it. From pet store or online.
