Hello Riu fam. Here anxiously awaiting my 200 watt diy ver29 kit from timber grow lights. Having some difficulty figuring out what to use to build my frame. Its a 2' by 2' by 4' tall tent. So far i looked into angled aluminum and 80/20. But the 80/20 gets expensive with the special bolts and corner brackets. Any suggestions and help will be grately appreciated

I just built my frame this weekend with the angle aluminum, super easy and pretty cheap. There might be fancier options but it gets the job done and you can make it to fit your space perfectly, no real cons.

I found Home Depot to have odd lengths (all I could get was 3' lengths) and was very expensive. I went with onlinemetals after someone here referred them. The quality and price was good, however I went with cut to length pieces and found that whomever did the cutting at onlinemetals didn't do a very good job (despite charging a cut fee :cuss: ), but just buy whatever length you need and cut it yourself, in my opinion.
1" x 1" x 0.125" 6061T6 Extruded Structural Aluminum Angle is what I got and plenty strong for these projects.

Home depot and canadian tire rip you off for their prices. Lowes is a lot better pricing and they have 6 and 8 ft lengths.

Almost every city will have a local metal supply place. It's where contractors and pros go to get their stuff. They will have many more sizes and thicknesses available than big box stores and the proper machines to cut it to lenth for you.

@canadian1969 That's a bummer to hear about online metals.

I used
www.metalsupermarkets.com
They have bunch of locations and you can order online.
