very low yield so far at 6 weeks

so this is my third grow, and i am not sure what the problem here is. at 6 weeks, i don't think there is much i can do to turn the situation around, but what should i do differently next time?

my last two grow were unsuccessful and i chalked it up to being bag seed. this time i got blueberry gum and it looks like i'm the problem, not the pot. :-?

i'm using scotts soil, two CFLs one is a 100w equivalent, and the other is a 200w equivalent. i used miracle grow tomato feed which is 18-18-21. temperature is about 75-80. the plant is roughly 4' tall

the problem is the very low amount of light you are giving it...and keeping it to far away during veg so it stretches like a mofo...if you want yield you need more lights...and there is nothing wrong with bagseed...it was probably your lights that fucked it last time too...or something else you did wrong ;)

In a nutshell...you need more lights...after a seedling is 3-4" tall start bringing the CFL's in over the next week to about 1-2"...keep them this close to keep the plant shorter and bushier...forget trying to grow sativa dominant strains with only a couple CFL's, try to stick to indica dominant strains as they are shorter and more compact(I don't know what a blueberry gum is for dominant type)...pickup some bloodmeal from your local garden place and mix some of that up in the top layer of soil...that'll give it the extra nitrogen it needs during veg...

If you can...get more lights...the more the better...and put reflectors over them to direct their light straight at the plant.

Non reflective walls and low wattage is where I think your issues are at. I don't do cfl grows (I use them as supplemental lights), but read alot that you want to use 100 plus actual wattage bulbs, or if going with equivalents, upwards of a couple hundred. I am not sure on the specific wattage for them though. High kelvin in veg cycle, low kelvin during flower.

What Massah & Grumpy said!, also it appears to be a Sat Dom, and that pheno could take longer as well.

yeah to much stretch when you grow again have the light about 3-4 inches away from the plants this will eliminate the stretching. i had a sativa plant with 11 nodes and they were only 1/2 in apart and it was under 3 cfls. make sure ou have the correct spectrum also 2700k for flower and 6500k for veg. i made reflectors out of soda cans theres a tread around here somewhere about it i believe in the diy but there easy to make and do work.

Blueberry gum is an indica

The light was definitely too weak during veg but I did keep it close to the top. I guess the sides still weren't getting enough light. Thanks for the help. What nutrients should I use next time?

4' plants with only 70w of CFL... Yeah, that's not going to work. You need no part of the plant further than 4" from a light source when using CFLs.

cfl's arnt the best light for flowering, if you carnt use hps try using 1 red envirolight and 1 blue envirolight 250w a peice, thats what im using now and the buds are bigger 2 weeks into flowering, its defo your lighting whats the problem
