Very Pungent, Stinky Odor

Hi guys,
I recently chopped down my Blue Dream Auto plants.
I've noticed that during trimming action the buds had a very stinky, pungent odor. Like they were... idk rotten. They were almost unbreatheable because of the smell.
Are they good? A part from some bud worm that ate some little parts of the plants, they were perfect.
Is it right to smeel so stinky? I'm not so expert so idk really well the right smell

I've got a plant at the mo that kinda smells like a dead body! So it does happen! LOL
