I've been running this 100w Led from Vivosun. . My first question being do I need to run a second fan when the light allready has an integrated fan built in , blowing down on the canopy.
My second question being .what intensity do you guys keep the lights at and what distance.
I'm on week three of veg . I have my lights intensity at 55%. And 19 inches from the canopy .I'm also only running the fan built into the light,. I'm wondering if this alone will provide enough airflow as it will save me space in my tent .

In a small space, you're probably fine with the fan that's in the LED unit, but, like chicken soup, another fan couldn't hurt. For distance and intensity refer to the manufacurers recommendations. Then try it it a little closer and a little higher intensity, if the plants show no ill effects, you're golden. I've found different plants react differently.

I run 2 of the same lights but at 150 watt in a 31x31 small tent. The fan does a good job of pushing air down but I added a sweep fan to throw the are into a chaotic swirl to reduce any chance of dead air in the tent.
The light will require a tester. I recommend a simple lux meter available on Amazon for about $35

If you search cannabis lux you will get the lanes to stay in but no sensor or book is going to tell you where to put your light and at what power setting. You will need to watch how your plants react to the light. Are they stretching and falling over from skinny stems? More light. Are they curling up and tips burnt? Back it down.

More yield has been lost to low light levels than any other reason imo. Shoot for about 45 watts per square foot and fill the tent .
