Waiter or waitress redemption (bad tippers)

So my wife works hard as a waitress at a diner and depends on tips. She was having a very bad day already and then this couple came in. Black dude with dreads and gold teeth with his little 18 year old white trophy bitch.(crack dealer ) His tab ran up to like 30 something dollars. He goes to pay and flips through a wad of hundreds after he ran my wife to death and tipped her 1 dollar after having great service. On his way out he fucked up and dropped a 100 dollar bill on the ground and didn't notice it. Of coarse she kept it and I fucking love it. Not because of the amount alone but the principal behind it. If you cant tip well and you have money take your cheap ass to the drive through! I will be drinking beer off the random dope boys money tonight. If you have never worked in the service industry and depended on tips please don't leave ant negative responses because I could care less. hahahahahahahahaah!

btw are you in one of those states that min wage doesn't apply to wait staff? when i was living in wi a friend was a waitress she made 3$ an hour because wait staff is a tipped job so min wage doesnt apply to them

Yeah, cheap, no tipping assholes suck. My wife used to wait tables when we were in college and she always tips well and has taught me the same. I rarely tip less than 20% and usually more if the service is good. Even if the service sucks, you should at least leave 10%. Where I live, they don't make minimum wage, so it's doubly important.

i tip 10%-15% for bad service, 20%+ for good service.
more if it looks like someone is having a bad day or if a bartender is totaly hooking me up.

I dont tip on percentage wise I tip what I think they deserve. If i spend 60 on dinner and the service is good they get 10-12 for a tip. My wife drives me crazy sometimes though. We went to a taco shop and ordered two burritos and my wife threw a five in the cup I looked at her like she was crazy and she gave me the no sex look. I love to give good tips, I watched my grandma work her ass off as a waitress her whole life but, she made good money. Even if i get less than acceptable service I leave a tip just not a big one.

I tip well but not if I get treated like shit. this is coming from a dude who waited tables at a harbour bar where if you don't have tits you don't get tips
