Thats been my problem with them. They run for 3 - 9 months and stop spinning due to bearing failure. Every once in a while I get one that lasts a few years but when you have a bunch it seems like they failed all the time, one here, a month later one there. I put in some more commercial grade fans and they haven't had a single failure. I wouldn't even take the plastic off the little pull handles, just gonna take it back to the store in a few months anyway. lol I am phasing them out since it's a hassle and I hate it when shit breaks mid run, just pisses me off. If you do run the hurricanes and you have several just buy a backup to put in play while you warranty swap the hurricane at the store. If you are buying online this becomes a bitch but at my hydro store they expect it and they just give you an unboxed fan sans brackets in exchange for your fully assembled fan you just pulled off the wall.
Oscillating:
Mount on a vertical stick of strut channel if you wish to be able to slide it up and down to keep it between the canopy and lighting.
When you don't need oscillating these:
I have these hanging from the wall and from the ceiling in places.
You may need different sizes of course and maybe a different brand, these are generic but I have yet to see a failure on any of them.
