Water before harvest or let dry out?

Anyone know if it's better to water a plant right before harvest or to chop as it's soil is drying out? Please, also, why? Thank you.

i've done both..........no difference, imo

I find if my soil is completely dry it cuts my drying time by a day or so with no noticable effect on weight or potency

Thanks for the quick replies... At couple of my ladies have an appointment with the scissors now
