Water Chiller benefits (+rep)

Hi all,

I'll get right to it.

I have an RO machine for my h20, and I am considering adding a water chiller unit to cool res.

How would I benefit from cooling my water to 75F (that's right if I remember, 75 yea?)
?

I presume that dissolved O2 might be maxed at that temp, or perhaps that nutrients are more available at this temp? Are my assumptions close?

If one were running 2kw sog, and controlling the plant environment in all other ways besides water temp, ceteris paribus, what additional benefit would be gained from running the water chiller (in a strain like White Russ or Chron, for example, if it matters)? In general?

Is it worth the 300-350 dollar expense?

Thanks guys, + Rep

Not sure the precise ideal temp but know from fiddling with my little aereogarden it do not like to sit in hot places without an AC running in the background. I think 75 is plenty good enough for them to grow. Now the leaves will not absorb anything with a water temp above 75. That is why I keep my clone mister in the ice box during the summer, but fairly sure the bottom can go higher. Seems like maybe 80 was the magic number where the plants started trying to wilt. I was only dumb enough to try the experiment once. Now if you get industrious one day chunk out all the hydro junk and invest in some Hempy Buckets. Thats the only proper way to grow dope. If you was growing in HB's you wouldnt have to worry about having this conversation or consider investing 300 bucks in a water chiller.
