Water chiller not chilling.

I have has a 1/4 hp aqua active water chiller for about a year and recently I've noticed a significant change in water temps. No mater what I do the Temps won't go below 70 and recently have gone up. From 70 to 76. I have a 5 site rdwc with about 66 gallons total recirculating. I was think my chiller feed pump was too strong.. I belive its a 800gph. And my room ambient temp is around 83. With insulated totes.

Is it cooling at all? 800 is above the spec if I remember right, if your not using the pump for waterfalls or anything, I would slow it down and allow more time in the coil. If this is a new problem, make sure the condenser fans running and clean. Has to be low on charge, dirty or not pulling air across the condenser. Was it recently moved or unplugged?

It's been off between runs and cleaning so maybe 2 weeks off before firing back up. My water temp started at 73 and now is up to 79..

The condenser is number 14, fan is number 15 if condenser is clean and fans are running, and the chiller worked fine in the past, either you have a Refrigerant leak or salt build up in the coils

I remember someone having a issue and it ended up just having to be unplugged and back in, set the temp up and back down and see if it fires up. If it’s running, compressor and the condenser fan, the coil has to be dirty or low on charge. Are you sure the pump is working?

I would take the case off and see what’s up with the leak. That’s concerning, it could get worse or be a indication to the problem as well. If a charge issue, unless your really handy, a small appliance repair shop could check and charge it.

From the looks its condensation running down the side

I'm going to buy a smaller pump. Now that I think about it it was winter when I started using
I don’t think the pump is your prombel but it’s worth to try if this is the same one you have your pump should be fine

Can you achieve the temp if you put the chiller into the 50s? Mine is usually a few degrees higher then setpoint. High RH will decrease it’s cooling capacity a bit too. I set mine at 61 to get 80 gallons at 64, 350 gh pump, temps around 80 last run and RH was 50-60.

See my pump is 800gph and I'm thinking it's moving the water too fast for such a significant change in temp.
