Hi RIU. I have been rooting around the web about curing and found somthing called water curing but i couldn't understand how to do it, could someone clearly explain how exactly you water cure. thanks RIU.
Firstly, I don't believe you. Literally typing "water cure cannabis" into google gives all the long drawn out threads around the internet on water curing. However, I will oblige you because I know you're lazy like me. Water curing is amazing, anyone who says otherwise is a nobody. Anyways, take a bud, stick it in water, leave it, change water, it is up to you how long to leave the bud in the water but most people do 3 to 7 days. Afterwards, you take the bud out, you set it out to dry, and that is it, your bud has been water cured, however this isn't a "real" cure, as in the total volume of THC on the bud isn't necessarily psychoactive.
Sorry I don't have an answer to your question but from my understanding this was used before ice hash came along...the water dissolves the sugars and leaves only the oil in the leaves making the old style of hash making easier. Using this method would make for some harsh smoking weed.
This is different than ice hash, much different. The point of water curing is to remove water soluble contaminates, the purpose of ice hash is to knock off trichomes after bringing them down to a very low temperature. Unfortunately, no, this type of weed is actually the softest and smoothest weed you will ever smoke, but you will not have any flavor outside of the generic terpenes that didn't get washed away, which is basically all of them.
