Water Cure

Do a lot of people water cure for personal use. I know it looks rough and drops weight but supposedly it tastes better and is stronger. Does anyone advise against it and why? Thanks in advance.

Never done it, but plan on doing it to my whole harvest when it comes in (just started, so a while from now). It depends on your preferences, it makes it stronger in the sense that you have to smoke less to get to the same high as air cured. So more potent, yes, stronger, no. Don't do it to weed you wanna sell, you'd lose money because of the weight loss. And here's the preference part, it actually loses it's taste and smell, but harshness drops a lot, plus I also hear the smoke smell doesn't smell like weed either. It's also quicker to do than air curing.

Hope that helps you make a decision!

man, I was thinking of doing a water cure for my other harvest, but since now you say it loses it's taste and smell, then forget it. That's one of my favorite parts of smoking. Maybe I'll just try and water cure some nuggies and see how they turn out on the next grow.

Cut you plants down, trim them, put them under water for 7 days, changing the water everyday(you will see it get murky, after 7 days dry it fast (like next to dehumidifier)
supposed to lose a little scent and flavor but supposed to be really smooth smoke and a little more potent. Thc isnt water soluble so as long as you dont agitate the water to much you wont lose many trichromes

shouldn't make a difference as far as osmotic pressure goes. your green still has much higher solute concentration. probably more of a preference thing for people that have cured with different types of water. i doubt it really makes a difference though
