waterfarm 8 pack help and questions

Hi, Im a first time grower and I had been reading for some time now. Im going to start my first grow in the second week of october, but before that I have some questions.

I bougth a waterfarm 8 pack with the recirculation kit, and I have a few questions, for starters, how much nutrients do you put in the 8 pack waterfarm system. do you put for the whole 13 gals or just for the 8 gals? or for both of them? I will be using advanced nutrients, and I looked at their feeding chart and just states quantities per week, but I have a doubt here, I should put all the mix of the nutes together the same day at the start of the week? or is there a way to administrate the feeding of those nutrients?

and my last question, I will be using a 1000w ballast and bulb, plus a chiller, the waterfarm, the fans, etc, do I need a special electric set up?

thanks

Ok I do not have a waterfarm 8 but I am familar with the assembly of hydroponic systems and how they work. So from looking at the pic from one I found on the net, I would say that it is a drip system that uses a 13 gal unit to top off the other smaller grow units.I would say start filling it up through the larger 13 gallon unit unit it stops taking nutrient /water.Just keep the 13 gallon unit topped off and u should be good. There should be a float valve of some sort in the smaller control unit if I am correct.

Also to determine the nutrients needed for your system ,. For 1 part nutrients u find out what ppm is needed and add until that is reached. For a two part or three u can either experiment on something small like let's say one gallon then when u find a ratio/ppm u like u times that by how many gallons of water u just added.. if you ever go over the ppm desired just dilute with water until the ppm is reached. If its not enough add more nutes etc.
