watering - before or after lights out?

I would assume a plant rests when the lights go out, by that logic i would say rather feed when lights are on... but i dont how much a difference it would make if any

I mean in nature, it rains both day and night so i guess it shouldn't be a difference of when you feed it vs how you feed it and how much you feed it.

I wondered about this too. Best evidence I can find is the weather in my area. Most of our rainfall occurs during the daylight hours. Even accounting for there being more daylight hours than non-daylight hours the vast majority of my rainfall is during the day. Based on that tidbit I water my flowering room an hour or two after the light comes on at 8 AM. I harvest a perpetual grow and have noticed that plants seem to feel stickiest a few hours after the daily watering.

Good luck, BigSteve.

the plant pushes the water back out to it roots during lights out and sucks it up once the day starts for it again. So, early morning is usually the best if you do it once a day.

This is why a lot of people cut their plants a little after lights on instead of some 48hr in the dark bullshit.

everything drinks more on a warmer day...it's warmer during their "daytime"
