Watering Help. by Hand in rockwool

I plan to water my plants by hand for the first bit so am i bet off to have ph water and mix up the nutrients each time i go to water or should i premix a tub of nutrients and water and use it from that?

Depends on how many plants you have.

Also depends on how much they take every feeding

Good question. I was just wondering this myself. I make up a gal of juice and use it over 2 days. Not sure if that's good. I keep it in my wardrobe out of the light to stop the algae and whisk it up before I use it. Only thing I noticed was if I used floralicious plus, it would have a rancid stench the next day. If I add that now, I just add it separately.

i have a 32 gallon trash can water tank. i have an air pump going to bubble out the bullshit. i've got it etched inside every 5 gallons. i use that, or i use a 5 gallon bucket. i mix up nutes at 5 gallons a time, or up to 20 a time. it doesnt sit there, i use it all. ive got 13 going. ive got a fountain pump connected to a garden hose. i use that to water my girls. simple

What if you're not aerating it, how long can it sit in a cool dark spot?

Lol, id say probably two weeks. I dont really know the answer but id leave it that long and maybe stir it up before i ran it. The best way to find out would probably call a company like canna, or advanced, and ask them.

haha, it is an old thread. oh well, information is always good. ive left nuted water (calimag, gh flora series) in a 5 gallon bucket without aerating. it stayed like that for a few days. it did settle to the bottom, but i stirred it up and it was fine. ph was still the same too. my trash can is black and sits in a closed closet.

No longer then a few days id leave my mixed nutes. As far as actually watering Rockwood, what I do is dunk them in water for 1-3secs. This is when their seedlings or rooting clones

I read somewhere only organic nutes will create algae, but that could be incorrect so take it as a grain of salt.. For me, I mix up 2L of nuted water each time, and it lasts ms 48 hours (2 days). I water using 1/4 of it twice a day. I am slowly noticing I need to put more than 1/4, so kind of coming onto 1/3 or 1/2 of the 2L each day, now that it's bigger. How much all depends on the size of your container, but how frequent is important for Hempy - she likes to have airated water as often as possible (since there's no bubbler like in DWC).. You want to put fresh water in as often as you realistically can. I would think you could go full NFT or automatic drip type watering but then it's not really 'passive' hydro anymore, but that would give it more frequent airated water. Otherwise a few times a day is great, if you can. Some do it once a day or two, but to me that doesn't seem frequent enough. Oh, I leave my 2L of water in my grow box (and yes the light was on it 24/0 and 18/6) and haven't hard any issues with algae or coloration of the water.. or smell, but I'm using non-organice nutes (Flora Duo) and like I said it only sits at most 48 hours.
