If the top of your soil is dry then water around the edge of the pot(use minimal water at the correct PH). Not directly onto or at the side of the seedling. Again around the pot.

Do this until the seedling is 20 days and then I think it's officaly 'in veg' (I could be wrong on that tho)

As for the rest of its life. Spend whatever time you have until its in veg on researching feeding and watering.

It's all down to lights, pot size, heat, humidity, strain, medium the list goes on watering is down to you as a grower to play with to find what works for you.

Keep in mind that roots take up oxygen. If you do not let the soil aerate by drying out (not bone dry), you drown the roots.

I use a pipette to water my seedlings so I dont disrupt the soil around what little roots they do have at this point. For about the 1st week. Keep your soil damp but not soggy at this stage for good root development. You do not want the soil to completely dry out at this stage of the plants life. Its the stage where it develops a strong root system for a healthy plant later on. Also you will learn to lift your pot when it drys out a little and then after you water and you will learn the difference in the weight of the pot until you get a water schedule down.

Seedlings are real fragile and need special attention. S'lings should be in a solo cup type of container until they are about 3 weeks old or until the stem is strong enough to readily support the plant. Regular pour-it-on watering will likely force a fallover. If the stems are too toothpicky (!) use some kind of small brace to support the main stem.

Best way for me is to use a spray bottle to water seedlings. Concentrate your spray at the dirt around the stem. I use a skinny bamboo skewer to push into the soil to check moisture levels. Just like baking a cake, I'm told, where you stick a toothpick into the cake to see if it's done.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Of the two that are now seedlings the most healthy one now has 4 leaves. Heres how it looked before with its hooked tendril openFullSizeRender-19.jpg
Now one day later, whats this look like to you(below)? It's hook has curled and closed. I found when I came upon it tonight ( and you can see it in the before picture) that the seed shell below the seedling was riding just about near exposed over the top of the grow pod. So I sterilized and rinsed some tweezers and pushed it back down a little further.
