Watering Outdoor seedlings HOT-ass day

hey all, ive got some bubba seedlings growing on the roof. its been really really hot the past week or so, above 80 but below 100 every day with a breeze. My seedlings get full sun for probably 13 out of the 14 hours of the day. The top of my soil is drying out very quickly but maintaining slight moisture about 1/2" deep. They seem to be doing fine right now but its still early its almost the end of the first week. How often should I water my plants under these conditions do you think?

i'd be probably watering them every day or when ever the top half inch or so of the soil gets dry.. it depends on how big of a container they are in though too.. the bigger, the less often you'll need to water them for sure.. but high temps and strong breeze, and you'll need to be watering them more often then cooler temps with no breeze obviously..
oh yah, younger plants will need watering less often than a bigger sized plant with a larger root mass.. just keep an eye on them, when the top half inch to inch gets dry, give them a nice watering in..

depending on the type of roof you have your roof top temps can hit 160 degrees. Im a roofing contractor in Cali and thats our average summer time roof top temps here

I wouldnt put them on my roof either! One of these days, your temps will get to 100 or higher and no matter how much watering you do, the root system is bound to get baked!!!
