My plants are about to be switched to the 12/12 light cycle and i was wondering what was a good water cycle to follow for soil medium plants? Also do not own a moisture meter.

Wait until your plants are as dry as you can get them. Pick it up and feel the weight. Now water your plant until there is water starting to come out of your pots. Pick it up and feel the weight. Now you know what your plants feel like dry and watered. You should be able to pick up your plants and tell if they need water.

Chop sticks work good too, or some other skinny wood. It's like checking a cake with a toothpick. Feel the woods moisture and see how much the soil is sticking to it. It's a good idea when you first put your soil together to feel it dry the first time.
