Waterproof led strip for netting?

just a thought i have noticed that the cost of these stip lighting are getting cheep was thinking of making a netting to support and give some lighting under the canopy ? any thoughts

Some supplemental lighting from the sides may help slightly, but I've read that shining light directly at the bottoms of the leaves accomplishes nothing.
