Ways to hang light

I have an LED light bought off Amazon for a decent price, seems like a good light with regular hanging hardware.

Right now, I have it hanging off the end of a cymbal stand because I didn't really think it through before I bought the light.. lol.

Anyway, the cymbal stand honestly works really well at least for me at the moment. But apart from other things, funds are a big reason I don't want to invest in a 6ft tent. Anyone thought up any other good ways to hang a light without a tent? I might draw something up and build it from PVC since lumber is so expensive right now.

This is the light I bought and have been using several weeks with no issues: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08F35YT6Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 if anyone has a comment on that as well I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks guys!

I should also mention that although I do like the light, it gets extremely hot so I would take that into consideration, and personally I wouldn't buy another one.

There are numerous ways to hang a light without a tent. Make your own stand. Use floor joists if you are in a basement.

I places a two by four between two walls and hung a blurple light to veg these two autoflowers without a tent next to a furnace.

You are only limited by your creativity.

Thanks for the replies guys. I live in a doublewide, I'm able to do whatever mods I want/need to do but was looking for ideas maybe I didn't think of. Thank you for the suggestions. I might invest in a stud finder so I can do the metal tracks or make a stand with pvc or wood.

I was just looking for 'outside of the box' ideas (kind of like using the cymbal stand) that I haven't thought of.

Thanks for the replies if anyone else has any ideas please let me know!

PVC stand is what I've used on occasion. I don't cement it just hand fit so I can put it away when not needed.
Normally I would opt for wood but because of prices I'm thinking PVC is going to be the way to go. And yes, I wouldn't use cement either.. no real reason to in this case.

Got mine just in studs in the ceiling in a spare room of mine. If your gunna go that route you have less flexibility when it comes to where your plants have to be as your studs will lay that out for you. But if you have a wide open room/space your working with it makes it easier and gives you allot of clearance on the top end. The tracks mentioned above would allow for much more mobility allong with the clearance.

true. i'm not looking to do more than a handful at a time probably less. either way it's kind of a pain in a doublewide because the roof studs are quite small.

thanks again everyone for your replies i appreciate it. hopefully someone sees my cymbal stand usage and it helps them out lol. working great so far

What about just using a toggle bolt in the ceiling and screwing a hook in there to hang the light from. Super cheap.
