How easy would it be for the cops to get our addresses from registering, and using this site? Even if no one gives their location or any information can they find us? I'm not to worried for myself. I have my MM card, As far as the state goes. Now the Feds humm there is some concern but I am growing for personal use only. So they don't worry me much. But these people that post their pictures of themselves and the ones with monster grows, I am concerned if they are taking too big of a risk. I would like to get lots of others oppinions as to what they think or what they know!:joint:

Most people do not read the rules when they agree to them. If you do you will see this

By clicking the agree button you confirm that you do not work or are associated with any government agency, and information obtained through this site will be inadmissible in a court of law

I've yet to see a picture of someone's face and weed in the same pic. The one's I have seen show them wearing hats and sunglasses....

I know about the rules, what cop have you known that don't break rules. No they can't use any of it in court, but they can gather information. They don't need that in court if they bust you with the goods.

There's been no reports on any of the forums I frequent where that a person has been arrested as a result of frequenting the forum. If you grow a couple plants and keep the odors down, the cops shouldn't be overly interested as it's no longer a serious crime. In my state, probably one of the more strict states in the union, it's only a fine and no arrest or court appearance. If you're growing a backyard full of marijuana, smelling up the neighborhood, or if you're growing for the purpose of selling and word gets around, or if you don't keep your grow very secret, bye bye. The thing is, once you've been reported to the police, they almost have to investigate even if they see it as a waste of their time.

This site itself isn't going to go giving out your IP information, though they most likely log it for a period of time. If they, or their providers, are faced with a court order, then odds are they will get whatever info exists at that point. The idea of anonymity online is a fallacy, but it's a pain, and most companies are concerned about their clients privacy and will require court orders before they release info. In all it's not an efficient way to police, cope would be better off just walking the neighborhoods smelling I suspect.

Of course you can never be too careful.
