Week 4 going on 5 of veg (When do I start Flowering?)

So It's been a little more than a month now and my plants are about 1 foot tall (FIMed) and I was wondering when I should start them on 12/12 and when I should expect to see some pre flowers because I'm really worried about having males in the mix...all advice appreciated.

You should wait untill your plants start pre-flowering and show their sex. They will do this when they are mature enough to flower, switching to 12/12 before this will just stress your plants because they are not mature enough to start flowering. It should be soon, keep a close eye on them and watch for it.Last week my plants had no signs at all, this week i know the sex of 10 out of 14 plants. Even after pre-flowering if you keep your plants on a 24/0 or 18/6 light schedule they will continue vegitative growth.
