Weight loss, drying and curing

I decided to get an idea of how much and how fast weight loss happens during drying and curing.

Day 0 with 2 buds weight is 8.2 and 4.9 grams
Day 1 after 24 hours weight is 4.9 and 2.8

The buds have no crisp and still feel fresh, so the weight loss was surprising.

Huge water loss in the first day or 2 depending on humidity level in the drying zone. Hard with water one day....softer the next.

thanks guys...its been a funky year...flood almost took my yard in May/June...smoke from the fires caused a lack of direct sunlight...but...no rain since mid Aug...25 8 ftrs sounds good...until harvest...its gonna be a tiring harvest/dry/cure...but fuck it...its my meds, so I'll just havta buck up and deal with them and the pain...can't wait to hibernate this January...keep em green folks!!!!

my first year I had one plant hanging in my furnace room and we had a really cold night in the beginning of oct that year...
my furnace ran on and off most of the night... that plant dried in like 2 to 3 days....which was way too fast for me...or my liking...
it actually went completely crispy...and smelled like hay.,..
Now I find a dark cooler room with no heating ducts or one that s blocked off...and hang dry there...the only air flow is exiting the room only and is very limited....like about a computer fans worth....
once they sit in this room for about 7 to 10 days....they are just about perfect...to hit the paper bags to slow things a bit more...
so another 4 or 5 days in the bags....its dry but still subtle

Yep. 75 to 80% loss in weight once fully dry is what ive come to expect...with just about any gear ive grown. A shoe box lid piled up on a wet trim...looks like a pound wet. Dry....QP or even less. Everytime.

We got a ball of finger and scissor hash from just a few days of quick wet trim on some outdoor Glues damn near the size of a golfball. Gooey as hell. And yes...to all of you... I consider my Brothers and Sisters in Unity in Cannabis...October is awesome!!! May your harvests go smooth as butter...no bud rot for anyone...and the rippers went home empty with dog bites in thier ass!!! May you reap the gooiest of goodness!!!! 2017 Another Harvey down!!!
