weird thing happening,need someones help

I started growing last Saturday,just moved my plant closer to the light recently because at first I had light problems,had to buy one of course ha,but yea theres actually little pieces of grass or little weeds growing out of my soil,and looks like Moss on top,what does this mean?

no i bought a bag of soil from walmart,i should of bought a more expensive one just didnt have the money to afford it,would it still be ok for my plant or no?

if its looking like a mold then no, but if its just a few small shoots of grass or something should be fine, just pull them as they come up.

the soil you buy in a bag at a store should be sterile and weed (no pun intended) free... unless maybe you are buying real ghetto shit i've never seen

yeah some of the cheaper shit, if you look on it on the back in small letters they sometimes give a warning that it may not be 100% clean.

i bought this bag of soil at walmart,and no joke there r little tiny sprouts coming out since the day i got the soil,i noticed there was some chopped up weeds in teh bag when i emptied into my pot i threw them out though,this soil must of been some shit then,and idk if its mold ornot it looks like moss

take the rest back to them if any's left. and tell them what crap they sold you and if your lucky they'll refund/exchange/credit you back and get better stuff and repot,

used it all to fill my pot,the plant is doing fine it seems,and its not mold,most of the green went away and i have been ickign the sprouts out,i think the soil is just way to shitty,but thats what u get when u buy a 96 cent bag of soil ehh?haha,btw if any of u r interested u can look at my thread,im looking for people to follow it cause im going to keep it up until my plant is flowered and im gonna keep it up even if my plant dosent flower and replant,my chances r kind of low planting only one seed,if its a male ill be pissed!but yea thanks for the answers,and dragon is fox farm the name of the place where the soil comes from thats shitty?lol

i used it all it was a small bag just enough for my one pot,im going to buy 2 bags of soil next wedsnday different brands,i just dont want to transplant my baby,its growing fine,just a little stretched from when i began (the light was 4 feet above my baby and was only 13 watt cfl) now i got a light 23 watt cfl 2 inches above my plant,going to buy another light fixture to build myslef again on wedsnday along iwth the soil,3 more bulbs possibly 4 if i buy the 40 watt CFLS,and 2 splitters for my lights to run 2 bulbs out of each light

ya i bought the same soil, the stuff at walmart, and at first there were a few like sprouts of grass here and there but i just pulled them out and my plants are doing fine now

k thanks,and yea ive been pulling the grass out as it grows,i know for now on to buy miracle grow or omsething some good soil if u know what I mean,check out my thread if u wanan watch my baby grow!updating pics sometimes later today,going to bed right now!

Most of the available bag soil around here has nutes in them, for up to 4 months. Home Depot here carries nothing but mg. :evil:
Soil like this is not good for the first month or so, the plant has its own nutes for that time.

A question I have: Is it (miracle grow) good to transplant into if needed to get a bigger pot after 4 weeks?

Myself I bought some perlite and topsoil to make my own soil. I think I'll add some sand also.

I grow hydro for myself, but grow clones for others in soil. Since I didn't want to invest a lot of $'s into the soil setup, I got what I think is a pretty good mix from Walmart. It's mainly Miracle-Gro.

I used equal parts of Miracle-Gro Organic Choice Potting Mix, Sphagnum Peat Moss, Perolite and Worm Castings. After one month I had 18 healthy plants with 4 nodes each that were 8-10 inches tall. I began low levels of nutes at the beginning of week 3 since the potting soil is 0.1-0.05-0.05; very low N-P-K.

I use mixed spectrum T5's to veg & flower.

sometimes you can get other shit in the soil if you buy cheaper shit and weeds and shit will also grow with your plants.:hump:

yea,i know never to buy shit soil again!a bag of 3 buck soil will be alot better!and today i woke up my baby was bent over touching the ground from my stem being to weak to hol the weight of the leaves,so i tied it up with a pencil and ziptie
