Well I was ripped last night!

My medical grow was ripped last night. They took 2 whole plants and parts and tops (big tops) of others. I guess it was just a matter of time. I have a friend that was ripped last week, he lives in the same rural area that I live. I am definitely going to have to put in better security next year. Sure would like to know if it was a "friend" or just somebody totally random. That's the part that will bug me the most. Is there a Judas amongst us? :-?

def. someone who knew about it. Cameras with nightvision . You can get em at newegg for cheap.

I wouldn't bother .. use a old good tripwire and a lot of big nails .. then you dont have to get a alarm either .. you wake from the screams ...

The only problem with that is the innocents. Been there, done that. Punji sticks. Couldn't beat it back fast enough to fill the hole in. Learned to just way the hell away from anybody. If you can get to a spot quickly or easily then guess what?

I like Bear Traps myself , that stops them everytime and the plants become the last thought on the mind ! Another trick is to dress in black and go Ninja on them with a Baseball bat like a true Vigilante ... That to willl stop them dead in there tracks and as well like the first method youll surely know if you know them by there distress call !

I'm sure there are plenty of people who know about it. Where I live just about everybody has a grow! Fairly common. Ours is not that easy to access which is why I know it was somebody that knows how to navigate the surrounding area pretty well. They had to be on foot for a distance, kinda narrows the field a bit on who it was. That's why they didn't manage to steal more than they did, they could only carry so much on their back. Very good chance we know the person but then again it could be a friend of a friend. It is more important to me to know if it is a so called "friend" than the missing plants.

I am located in NorCal.

Booby traps are illegal everywhere, even in your house. Even if someone broke in your house and died from a trap, you'd be in deep shit.
As far as the op goes, do a search and see how many posts there have been about people getting their shit ripped off. If it wasn't a thief it was dnr or the police. Don't tell anyone and don't plant in places that's easy to get to. If you don't get scratched up, grass stained, dirty, and sweaty going to your spot; find a new one.

Revenge is sweet but it's you who will pay the price. You can't tell ANYONE ever about your grow. I bet the rippers thrive on legal grows in states where you can just stick them in with your tomatoes. It's like a freakin open invite to anyone who looks in your yard. At least here where it's illegal you always have to hide them. I think if I lived in the land of legal I would just grow in those $150.00 10x6x6 chain link dog kennal with a padlock and more chain link on top.:D

If you tell your BEST friend and the plants go missing you will suspect your pal even if it wasn't him.:cry:

Was your grow visible from the road?

I always worry about hunters stumbling into my grow. Of course, no one but hubby knows about my grow. No one out here even knows I smoke!

Definitely NOT visible from any road.

Remember though, this is in Cali, most people I know aren't doing any guerilla growing. There are many people who live in the CITY and are growing in their own backyards! They have close neighbors on every side of them. It's crazy like that out here now. Lots of ripping going on though, especially if you do live in the city.
