What about growing a Neem tree?

Never had a problem with pests though lately my cat has been having problem with fleas.
The fleas were completely gone but then Advantage flea pesticide ran out and I let my cat out today and she came back with fleas...

so then I realized I could use neem. Way cheaper... i just hope it works.

Then somehow I began wondering if putting a neem tree inside your grow room would have any benefits without applying the oil.

the animal lover in my is going to very niccely say that responsible pey owners do not allow themselves to run out of basic health supplies 4 their animals........ Advantage is a MONTHLY treatment.

it's diluted. I actually think it smells pretty nice haha. Almost as good as weed

and you're putting it on your plants and smoking it, I don't know how you'd think it's dangerous for animals

All google search results agree with neem being perfectly safe for humans or animals.

You can eat neem leaves and flowers as well.

This is a great idea IMO, I am bumping this old thread because this is all a search came up with. Has anyone actually placed a neem tree inside their tent? I ask because I was going through the eonseed catalog and noticed they sell the trees 10" tall. Of course if not inside the grow room at least I can produce my own spray and use it for its other magnificent uses.

TLDR; would the presence of a neem tree inside grow room repel harmful insects like the spray?

I haven't tried it but I don't think it would work well just having a tree in close proximity. The neem oil is what repels insects. The oil is mainly from ground neem seeds. I just started using neem oil a few moths ago. No problems with pests since. Not planning on using it during flower. Also, the neem smell really bothers a lot of people but I really don't mind it. Smells like burnt peanuts. I add the oil to shampoos and lotions for dry skin. Works great for me. In India they use the neem twigs as toothbrushes. In some areas of Africa it is used to prevent malaria. Amazing tree.

When I was going outside; I noticed that my plants would pick up the flavors and smells of other plants that were in my garden in close proximity.
I don't think I do it.

Yeah I've read later on the seeds are what repels the insects, I figured the leaves had a natural repel properties also. I did order it anyway because the more I read about it, the more I am interested in producing different things from it.

Pretty interesting. If you are using the neem spray wouldn't that be the same thing; or worse? Right now I don't have enough room to place the small tree inside of my tent but was interested if anyone had tried it.
