What am I missing for the dense nuggets?

Ok so I've stalked around here for quite a while, read many of the guides and have more than a couple grows under my belt. They have all been fairly successful and improving with each grow and I feel like I m now getting down to the nitty gritty. The final tweaks to turn out a truly superb product.

I do a semi stealth grow. 1 plant in a sealed armoire. I use DWC in a 5 gallon bucket and SCROG once I hit flower. My light is a 400w switchable cool tube. I use Metal Hallide for veg and HPS for flower. I use Fox Farm Hydro nutrients (Grow Big for veg, Big Bloom throughout, Tiger Bloom for flower). I have run a pretty light feeding schedule due to the bubble bucket and as up to this point I have only run autoflowers and they tend to get nute burn kind of easy. I have relatively good air circulation and humidity. Keep the lights at max 12inches from the top of the canopy.

My last plant was a Sativa Seeds Jock Horror autoflower (which ultimately turned into a photo period as these seeds tend to stand still once preflowers form, unless you actually switch to 12/12, a known issue I believe). From this plant I pulled about 5oz (dry) of super crystaly, heady bud. A small selection of these buds were decent nice and solid, dense nuggets. Close to what I have always been striving to get. The rest of them, though noticeably better than any previous grows, still end up really light and airy. And it's not just the top buds vs the lower ones either. This one went for 15.5 weeks total, 8.5 in flower.

I know everyone asks this, and I've done a fair bit of reading and feel I am following most the guide lines pretty well, but what's the trick? How do ya'll get the nice thick, dense buds? I've got a huge light, good nutes, I PH my water and refrained from harvesting until the last minute. Is it the ruderalis cross keeping these plants back? am I being too cautious on feeding? I'm not looking to throw any more money at the situation as my setup is about as optimal for my situation as it can get at this point.

I just started a new seed. Sour x Chronic cross and my first true photoperiod plant. I am also going to try to follow Fox Farms actual nute schedule as well and see what that does. But does anyone have any other suggestions or thoughts? Any ideas on what I might be missing?

Thanks in advance! I'll throw some pictures up here when I get home.

My guess is harvesting too early ,wait till all hairs gone even red ones, keep it cool in there 70-80, dont under water and the strain prob isnt helping.

u need to make sure u have the absouletly best strain for huge yeilds, most of the time it comes down to strains , not your additives/nutes etc.after all thats why we pay so much for good seeds because they have good traits.find a good breeder and a nice yeilding strain.cheap strains never yeild shlte
