What are the advantages of germinating?

alot of people have debates about this, some say there is no need and that germinating will cause fungus. i myself germinate, and dont have much problems with this fungus they talk about. it just helps me decide if the seeds were good or bad, if i see a root, i plant it, if i dont, i throw it away, simple as that, where as if u stick them in the dirt, they will grow just fine. just takes a bit longer for them to come out and peak their little heads out of the ground.

u'll know if the seed is good or bad if it sprouts from the soil. there is no advantage to germing sans soil.

So why bother other than idle curiosity...... you can only make things worse, not better.

So transplanting causes shock correct.
Now you want to transplant your baby while its at its most sensitive stage.
Put them in moist not soaked soil.in a dark cool place.not too cool about 75.
Check them daily. As soon as you see them coming up.(a little white nub).
Put them in a clone dome of some sort.for a couple days till the look good.in the light of course at that point.
I had some tiny seeds from nirvana all grow happy that way.
Have done it that way since.
Just my opinion.
