What are the chances!?

When I started this grow, I had one primary goal in mind. Seeds. Lots of 'em. No more expensive overseas orders for me, or that's what I thought. Since I don't have room for a separate veg chamber in my box, this was the best solution I came up with. The last of my plants showed its sex today (I'm a little under two weeks in flower) and of the five, they're all girls. Seriously, WTF? These seeds weren't supposed to be feminized, just regular seeds. I mean what are the chances? They've got to be astronomical, unless these are feminized seeds sold as regulars. I'm pissed. I wan't to complain. But what the hell would I say? "Excuse me, my plants just won the genetic lottery, and I'd like my money back." Somehow I don't think anyone will listen to me. I know I'm kinda ranting here, but this isn't what I had in mind. Any thoughts?

thats easy to fix. Find a friend who might have a male plant and pollinate a bud or one whole plant. Problem solved.

Why dont you just take clones...unless your heart was set on breeding..

the chances are .5^n, and in your case n=5 seeds. .5^5=.03125, there was a 3.125% chance of all 5 seeds being female.

BINGO... lol, I was going to just say the same thing. No need to introduce the pollen of another strain. You could easily stress a branch.

if a hermie pollinates a female of the same strain, the seeds will have a greater chance to become hermies but you will get seeds.

Not often you see people complaining about all female ...The Guys above seem to have your back though

the odds of each seed being a female is 50/50, or .5. the ^ denotes an exponent, which is the number of seeds. so for 5 seeds, it is .5x.5x.5x.5.x.5, or .5^5.

Hmm...I wonder how often this happens? I was trying the same thing with Auto AK47 and Auto Hindu Kush. 10/10 germed for both sets and, to my horror, all 20 were female. It had me wondering if some of the seed producers were quietly shipping femmed Auto seeds just to prevent seed runs. A second run with Mi5 and Diesel Rider autos turned out as expected, but I still wonder about that first run.

Take clones, revert back to veg. Let one of your females go past its prime. collect female bananas pollinate female clones.

I was wondering the exact same thing, the plants are the Honey B strain from Barneys. They won't reveal the plant's genetics, and it kind of made me wonder if they're trying to keep it's genes out of other breeders pools, if ya know what I mean. But yeah, actually I was planning on breeding, so femmed seeds would be ok to make bud, but not for the breeding program I was wanting to start. I was really wanting to work on creating a short, high yielding sativa (not a big fan of indicas or indica heavy hybrids), that would work well in small indoor SOG gardens... I've still got five seeds from the pack, I guess I'll wait till this batch is almost done and start them. Well, it isn't all bad I guess. Afer all, I will have some uber dank bud to keep me company while I wait on batch #2. Oh, after I was done ranting in the first post I did get out a calculator and run the numbers. 3.215% isn't quite low as I'd first thought, but from all the posts from people bitching about high percentages of males, it makes me wonder if other factors don't play in to the equation as well (higher male germination rates etc.).
