A recent thread here has had me thinking of this all day to the point of depression,the thread is" BUSTED 4 DAY'S AFTER 420",i read that thread last night before bed & ive been fucked up ever since,not because im freaked about the raid but because the members avatar showing a fantastic looking little baby,whats had me in a funk is the wanton dissregard for a working family & their well being from the media & the down right lies the media spews for ratings,lie's that are started with ourt government,lie's carefully thought out & implemented by police,schools & all other government,lie's designed to convince citizens it's the right thing to do to turn in people for growing/using marijuana.
When i think of what that little baby is going to have to go through from unfair marijuana laws & loose lips it makes my heart sick to the point my eye's well up with tears,all because somebody was taught it was the right thing to do by turning in a fellow human being.
Another thread that has stuck in my mind is the tell nobody thread,in this thread a parent explains that she tells her children the plants she's growing in the closet are maple trees,this scares the hell out of me & IMO is 100% the wrong thing to do,for the childs sake & for the saftey of the family.
My children are all grown now but back when they were in grade school the police used to give talks at schools to kids about the evils of drugs,these talks were in reality an expolratory questioning of unsuspecting children,they would tell kids how bad marijuana was & all the harm it does,then they'd go on to tell the kid's that if they "the police" can find the people doing these drugs that they "again the police" could help people stay out of trouble & be better parents.
The drug lectures allways ended with a speel of shit telling the kid's that if they knew anybody doing these things to tell the police or a teacher,a cop would not tell the kid's this,they'd allways have a so called "drug expert" with them to throw the questions at the kid's & to tell them it's better to turn in people they knew so they could get help,this way the police were off the hook for leading the children.
With that being said,years back the police showed up at my job site with a social worker looking for one of my men,a very nice man with a perfect family & no real problems,in my job im a well know cynic & known to be extremely critical of the police & government,it's also known that ive done time twice & that i inherently do not trust the police in any fashion,knowing this my man asked me to stay for the questioning,the police tried to get him to ask me to leave & so did the social worker but he refused, so they started in on him.
It turned out that the man's child had fell for the bullshit that the police fed them at school,the child was convinced that he was helping mommy & daddy by telling the police they smoked left handed ciggarettes,the cop tried everything in the book to get him to admit he & his wife smoked weed,the social worker even went as far as to tell the man if they found out later that the child was telling them the truth it would be worse for him,i was proud as hell of him,he let them have it with both barrels.
He told them to get fucked & that if they ever speak to his child again or question the child in any way he would get a lawyer to put a stop to it,he then told them that what they told the kid were left handed cig's were in reality hand rolled ciggerettes that he & the wife smoked to save money,the cop & social worker left & i gave him the rest of the day off to attend to his family,as far as i know that was the end of that.
Anyhow the point of my story is this,all parents should speak to their children about the police,they should educate them as to what the mission of the police really is,we taught our children that the police are not their friends,we also taught them to be wary of any interaction with the police & if they had to have contact with them to never say anything,we also taught them how the police write down everything they say to use it against them or another person in the future,usually in court.
This is going to sound fuked up but my wife & i used to have question & answer periods with our kid's from time to time,durring these talks we'd ask our kid's questions concerning their personal rights & questions pertaining to "what if" situations with the police,at the outset of these talk's our kid's merely repeated what we taught them to say pretty much word for word but as they grew older & from seeing things on the news,learning about life & growing up in general they would talk to us using their own thoughts & words.
Durring the teenage years when all kids think they know everything these talks pissed my kids off,they always told us "WE KNOW" or "WE'VE DONE THIS A THOUSAND TIMES",to them it was just "Hippie Crap" as they called it,now that they are grown adults both our son's have told us thank you for teaching them about their rights & how to deal with the police & the government.
It's not bad for your kid's to see you smoking or growing weed,what's bad is when parents allow their children to come to their own conclusions about in the home personal use of marijuana,or to learn about personal marijuana use from establishments such as schools,anti drug campaigns or the police,teaching you children right from wrong with marijuana use is critical if there is going to be any marijuana use within the home,it helps them understand that the whole families saftey is at risk & that the picture painted of all of us by the media & government is false,a false picture created in order to extort money from the public in order to fund the system.
Parents should point out the good things associated with responsible marijuana use & all the misleading scenarios or down right lie's shown to them by the media & government,it's critical to tack a pro active approach about this issue with your children,kid's are not stupid nor are they blind,they see what we are doing & no matter how many time's we make up lie's about what the kid's saw the kid's still know,it's better to teach them early on that loose lips sink ships & that the entire family is at risk from talking about or repeating things they see & hear within the home,dont make up white lie's with your children,educate them instead,educate them as to the unjust & extremely severe penalties that will come down on the entire family should they repeat things the see & hear within the home,educate them as to why what they see & hear from tv & their schools is all lie's,educate them to learn & make their own minds up.
Children are not stupid but they are gullable & easily led,teach them early about what you are doing,teaching them about the proper use's of marijuana & the lie's being forced down their throats daily can only make them better adults & will only help in keeping your family safe.
