What brand of coco coir does everyone use?

Looking at different types of coco? Don’t know which brand I should go with? Been growing with soil since I started, making a switch to coco any recommendations?
 
I just buy whatever's cheap.
My local store sells a loose bag (1.5-2Kg) for 70c ........ works as well and any other source (a little too hairy).
I've also purchased mail order from a farm supplies company $3 for 20l including delivery.
and a 5Kg brick (70l), $6 including shipping.

I know there's lots of people saying, you gotta wash it, you gotta soak it for days, you gotta load it with Cal-Mag.
I've never bothered, stick the plants in, water it with 1/4 nutes every day, and the plants just grow.
 
I use Canna as my choice brand but have also used Cyco coco ( the green bag ) a few times as well. I get the same quality from both brands.
 
Canna Professional + is what I use.


Be careful if you get the NATURAL as it isn’t as heavily buffered as the Pro + So you may need to buffer it for stability.
 
I like bricked coco and I typically use Botanicare cocogro. But I do use GH CocoTek as well because you can get it in small bricks which are nice when you don't need to rehydrate an entire 5 kg brick. I don't rinse it. I just rehydrate in a mild nutrient solution. All of the big name brands of coco are washed and buffered these days so you don't need to rinse like you did years ago.

Is that Atami Bcuzz? Because that shit is HOT AF straight out of the bag running 3.2EC or higher as it’s precharged with Nutrients.

canna runs at 1.2EC out of the bag.

I used to use BCUZZ because that was all my local grow shop used to stock.

I got sick of all the bits of plastic and crap in the bag and the high EC starting value was playing havoc with seedlings and required heavily flushing with a Calmag mix at around 1.0EC for Ages to bring its EC value down.

not a fan to be honest.

i have used it for years with no issues
its rinsed and ph buffered
 
I get big bricks for $7 at Walmart. Hands down best deal out there. Comes super low ec and not a lot of foreign shit like some others.
