what bug is this? please help.

I see this bug randomly throughout the base of the plants.

I know the picture might be too small to see but please help.

The bug is silverish black and it jumps around as well. Also, is this bug harmful to the plants?

no it only feeds on humans

maybe its some type of gnat

try googling ( pictures of little silverish black bugs ) and see what you come up with

.... for "google image" reference. like goten says, a good way to diagnose bug problems to google image a bunch of "possibles" and compare them to what you have. most grow guides have a pretty good list of potential pests.

thanks. I tried googling but the images I get are too broad. All I get is silverfish.
