Running straight perlite hempy buckets with the Lucas formula (Maxibloom at 7g/gallon of tap water).
Plants are at about week 4/5 of veg but appear to be a lighter lime green color then previous grows using the same nutes. I recently went to much stronger lighting so I thought perhaps that was a nitrogen deficiency due to the lighter green color and yellowing beginning on some of the larger lower fan leaves and so I bumped up the concentration of nutes a bit to about 8g/gallon.
I’m also wondering if I’m dealing with a magnesium and/or calcium deficiency since I’m seeing lighter green between the veins of the leaves basically all across most of the plants and I’ve noticed some clay colored spots on some of the leaves here and there which I believe suggests calcium deficiency.
In all honesty I haven’t PH’d my water as my previous grows didn’t show these deficiencies using the same process so I figured it wasn’t an issue and that my two water is close enough. Perhaps the faster growth rate due to much more powerful lighting has made some of these things present themselves as issues that I was able to get away with before?
Thats my theory but I’m a relatively new grower and just going by what I’ve read and seen photos of online. Will cal mag solve these issues and get my plants back to 100%?
