Yeah it's really not very classy, and sort of frowned apon, to ask for rep points from someone. It's meant to give an idea of who has more experience on the forum, better reputation, and all - but it doesn't really work that way. You can have some that don't grow jack shit have a high rep, because they posted a lot of funny shit in Toke-n-Talk, and so on. With time you'll see for yourself who knows what they're talking about and who's full of it. lol

@ everyone - - - I don't think it's useless, it gives people something to strive for, therefore they contribute to the community, sometimes in hope of getting +REP, sometimes not... Either way it doesn't hurt.

green bar I know has to do with how often you post... or any type of activity.. I heard the orange bar has something to do with the quality of your posts.. or something like that... Someone told me its a different type of rep system calculated by RIU and there are tons of different things that increase it... There is a top 100 list posted somewhere.. Im sure ur on it.. I just dunno how i am considering I have more points than ppl who have been on this site for years..
