What do you think went wrong?

This is my second attempt to get some seeds going. I germinated 5 seeds. I put them in some Light warrior in 16 oz styrafoam cups filled about 3/4 of the way full. Before the seeds went into the soil I watered until I saw just a bit of water running out of the holes I had poked in the bottom of the cups. Kept in a warm dark place until they broke the surface of the soil. Three broke at once so the went under (2) 26 watt 6500k cfl's and a single 42 watt 2700k bulb. When I checked on them this morning the one under the 42w was shriveled up and dead, one was kinda laying over and the other looked pretty good. In the mean time 1 other broke the surface so it replaced the shriveled one. When I get home from work today they all looked pitifull. The two "oldest" were looking weak, laying over and the "newest" hadn't shown any improvement from the light. They went into the soil a few days ago and hadnt been watered since so I gave them all a little water. Any ideas what could be going wrong? They are less than 2 inches from the light. It looks like they are droopy but they hadn't been water since they went into the soil so I don't think that is it. Its distilled water too by the way. Any info or input is greatly appreciated.

Is light warrior some bagged pre-mix? People who use Miricle grow soil have similiar issues with seed and clones, seeds more so than clones. No nutes for first couple of weeks is key. You pretty much want to start with inert soil mixed with extra perolite to facilitate a fast drain and dry out. I recomend some black buety or similiar with 0-0-0 or .05-0-0 npk to start out. Stay away from seedling mix some strains can't handlle the hormones and micros nutes they put in it. Golden rule with clones and seedlings less is more when it comes to fertilization. I would bet your soil has some kind of fertalizer added. Thats whats killing your babies.

yeah i was thinking the same thing. the next time you should flushed the soil, check the runoff to see how strong the mix is before you put a seed into it.
fox farm is know to be pretty hot/strong straight out the bag, i've read a post somewhere that stated when he flushed and tested the runoff it came out to 1000ppms.
