what extraction do I need??

New grower here, I’m in the process of setting up a grow area and am wondering what extraction I will need.

The area is 2.5 metres x 2.5 metres and the height is 1.6 metres. I am thinking of buying a RAM 6 inch inline twin speed extraction fan along with a 6 inch carbon filter that is 600mm long (24 inch) the fan has a 517m3/hr rating. Was just wondering if this will be enough??

I also have a 4 inch rhino fan to bring air into the grow area.

You want about 880 CFM ideally.

Take the volume of your space, multiply it by 2.5 and thats how much air you want to exchange every minute. Of course those 2.5x rule of thumb is typically for removing heat from HID lighting, you may go lower if you have cooler LED.

880 CFM is about 1500 m3/hr

Ok thanks for that. Im using LEDs so heat shouldn’t be too much of an issue, it do you still think I should go for a bigger fan? Maybes an 8 inch?

Are you sure its 2.m x 2.5m x 1.6m?
