I am using Fox farms Light warrior on my Jilly Bean seedlings that are just under two weeks old. I watered with 1tsp of Molasses in my one gallon pitcher. I had little trays that went under the pots but they retained too much water (they were left like that less than 5 minutes)

They were seeded in tree bark plugs and I moved them as soon as roots came out the sides of the plugs.

There is also some mychorizzae stuff mixed into the soil, about 1 Tbsp per 3 gallon pot.

So is it bugs under the surface? Over/Under watering? Nute burn? Heat stress?

The room runs 75-82 Fahrenheit with the lights on.

On that yellow leaf that's not an insect, it was some peat moss.

Any help is appreciated!

I am using a 400W CMH in a cooltube 6inch hooked up to a 320cfm exhaust for a 2x4x7 room. I have a 8bulb T5 on the side and a 4 bulb t5 on the other side (4ft, 6/6 6500k/3000k). An oscillation fan is also going at the pants growth level, pulling air from the AC vent I put in the floor. 1048W total.

The CMH is about a foot or two above them? the T5's are at least 8 inches away. I will admit my walmart oscillating fan is not top notch. The temperatures I gave in the first post are from about 2 inches above the soil.

Heat burn? They have not broke 83 so far as temps.

Bump! I need help I want them to be healthy! I really know next to nothing about pre bagged soil and I am thinking I went wrong there.

It looks like the first pic might be nute burn and the second pic might be a nute deficiency, so its hard to tell, I would flush em and get your soil back to normal, if you can check the Ph, then slowly start adding nutes back into the soil, the plants are really small so they won't need much. They don't look like your over/under watering...those are just my suggestions....

when I first do my seedlings I don't really add any nutes until their are goin on their second set of leaves, so a bit bigger than yours

thanks for the input! I watered them with plane jane today, and i might do it tomorrow as well, as a flush.... Or should I wait until the next time they need water?

It could be nute burn, since molasses is the shizz!

Personally I wouldn't add anything and just let the plants reset, I would flush and let it just have water for a while so if it is nute burn the plant has a chance to wick it out, nature doesn't provide extra chemical nutes, so keeping your plants on just water won't kill em.....if your new, one common major problem for newbies is 2 much nutes. Once the plants change a bit, or grow, give like a two days to 5 days or so, slowly start adding your nutes back in, if you want I got a really cheap PH, NUTE LIGHT AND MOISTURE tester from ebay here is the link.....

when you do the flush your basically drowning the plant for a bit, you'll see the water have changed color when your done the flush, drowning the plant puts it into a sleep mode, DOES NOT HARM THE PLANT, you can do this to the plant when you are ready to transplant to avoid stressing the plant. Youll find that when you do this and the plant wakes up, that is really works hard to suck up the water, when it's just about dry, add your nutes and it'll suck them up, there is a great thread on here by Riddleme, ill find it for you hold on.....

lol I tried one of those outdoors, and i HATE them! I guess im going to get the PH, N, P, K kit tomorrow :P the PH is just under 7 by the way, across the board

ya i only used it for a week or so, worked well for me, don't need it anymore though, 7 is great, all sounds good man you should do ok, when I got my clones they were in real bad shape, they are doin awesome now!!

How often are you watering those, and how much water do you give each time? In the 2nd picture that yellowing looks like too much water to me. Yellowing can be a sign of not enough nutes but for a little seedling like that in Fox Farm soil it should have plenty of nutes so I think overwatering is more likely.

Remember, overwatering does not mean you give too much water at one time, it means you are not waiting long enough between waterings to let the soil dry out. The top 2 inches of soil should be completely dry before you water the plant, and you should water thoroughly so that it comes out the drainholes in the bottom of the pot. Don't just give a little bit of water every day or every other day. Little seedlings like those don't use much water, so it might take quite a few days for the pots to dry out enough to need watered again.

lol funny you mention that, I spoke with riddleme the other week, and I use his technique of "Making it rain" I think i just need to let them dry out more in the sink before i throw them back in the room, for my next watering. It's a real pain dealing with soil in a hardwood floor closet >_< I have them sitting on the bottom tray i used for perlite on my last Copelandia cyanescens grow tent.

I guess the Diagnosis are Burning with heat, and over watering?

Man I feel like such a n00b, guess I posted in the right spot! Thanks for all the help!
