what is a better light for a small 2 plant grow?

Hey everyone happy smoking. I was just curious on what would be a better light for a small 2 plant scrog grow. I was thinking maybe a 250 watt hps/mh light or maybe a nice T5 light that I can keep close to the canopy since it will be a scrog grow. any suggestions would or ideas would be great.

small scrog .......your not planning on using a over powered light then moving once u have money built up

BlackStar LED............ grow.......flower..........they are one of the best ppl for LED always great results
Apollo..............they are new tring to mkae a name for self i do own 2 ballat from them becuase of the 5 year rebuild or replace....led they offer 3 years .......this one i would say to do autoflowering since they natural like a mix of light becuase of the gentics

I used a 150w floralux hps. Its a all in one system with the light in a cooling hood with the ballast on the back. Good for stealth cabs cause no ballasts on the outside.

I grew one auto cheese i got as a freebie and got 34gs off it. I had room for another one just didnt have another auto seed but i could assume i would have gotten a solid 34gs off the other one as well. I was able to keep the light about 4-6 inches away with not heat stress.

So if you scroged youd be good with just that if you wanted. Check out my minicab grow journal in my sig if you want to see my box.

If yours is bigger the 250w would be fine.

LEDs kick ass if youve got the money. I use grow evolution ones and theyre a pretty good price.

If you are between the T5 and HPS, HPS wins.

Just got a hydrofarms 250 watt mh/hps used at the lpcal hydro store for 200 eith an hps bulb. Growing 3 plants right now hoping to get 2 frmales just flipped to flowering! Seems to be working perfectly, I'd definitely recommend the 250 watt hps.

I agree with justugh. Go with an LED. They will by far out shine a T5 without having to worry about HID heat. Im using some cheap ebay china LEDs and im lovin em.

LOL you are going to have to decide that for yourself, cause everyone will have a different answer! For a small 2 plant grow one thing is for sure you won't need massive amounts of light. However light is everything in this hobby, I always say, so if you don't invest in some quality light then don't be mad when a meager crop comes on. So now onto my suggestion.....I too grow 1-2 plants at a time. For vegging a I use CFL's cause they are cheap and plentiful. I probably have 200-300 actual watts of cfl on it before I flower. Then I get rid of the CFL's and bring in this:

I find that one of these will handle two plants easily. The intensity of light is comparable to a 400 watt HPS or MH. However the advantage is that there are no hot temps, ballast, hoods, venting, it just goes on and on. I can leave it on 20 hours a day and not worry about my house burning down (yes I'm paranoid...it's the weed). Now some will argue that $250 for one of these is steep, but I think you get what you pay for? Yes you can struggle with a 150 watt HPS hood, bulb, and ballast for $75-100, which is half the money, and get the same job done. I prefer something that is small, light, and easy to adjust. Now that I have two of these lights. I use a purple to Veg two plants and both two flower.
