What is the most efficient 3000K 315 watt CMH bulb/fixture?

I am aware of:

Sun Systems

Phantom

Nanolux

They all are in the 300-500 range (more or less)

I believe the best bulb is the Philips

But what is the best plug-n-play setup?

I am in te market for another new light and I want to try out one or more of the "new" technologies that growers are using. I can get a great deal on a Quantum Board if I should decide to go that route....but they don't produce any UV and I believe UV light is beneficial -so I want to keep that in mind.

Thanks

MAXIBRIGHT DAYLIGHT 315W BALLAST MINI SUPERNOVA KIT this is what I use I find it quite efficient on my 2nd grow with it.

All the bulbs are essentially the same. Growers choice is slightly different with their 3K+R bulb. But basic bulbs are all very very close.

The key is, no matter what bulb, is to get a squarewave ballast to go with it. That is what maximizes the bulb and whole systems potential. The ballast can be the difference between 1.3µmols/w and 1.7µmols/w.

a $10 UV CFL will provide more than you need
Yes, but I want an all-in-one system. People keep reporting such excellent results with the new CMH fixtures. I've yet to read about anyone not absolutely loving theirs.

I'm also considering an HLG QB setup in 2700K....'cuz I want it leaning as red/orange as possible and it's passively-cooled so no worrying about fans -that's one thing I really dig about the new LED fixtures.

@Greengenes707 I think most of the new 315 CMH setups come with square wave ballasts, don' t they? Which specific brand do you recommend? And what do you say to this comparative test done on various bulbs?

im just saying if you wanted LED+UV thats the best option for that. UV LEDs are expensive and inefficient

theyre great. most people are coming from HPS and they are tickled. if there existed a efficient 300W HPS theyd prob love that too as smaller lights are a lot easier to manage re: heat, but unfortunately smaller HPS bulbs are at an efficiency penalty

spectrum on CMH is at least as good as HPS, some say better

there is a slight colorshift when used horizontally that may or may not affect your application. the vertical reflectors by sun systems and hydrofarm are both pretty great imo
