What is this?

Sorry if this is the wrong section, But I am in a bit of a pickle. I am not a newbie per se, I've been smoking for over 10 years, and I have never came across anything like this. This bud is black...it's super dense and kind of sticky. It is definitely not burnt. it doesn't smell burned or anything, actually smells ok. To me it looks as if someone dipped the bud in some resin, but its like this all the way through. I don't know, have you guys ever seen anything like this?

looks like some brick shit i wouldn't smoke. especially the black bud.

try making sure they are dry and snapping them in half. If you see mold spores float all over the place don't smoke it
