I was using some sun hoods but due to the height of where I'm growing I wasn't getting much coverage so I switched to the cool tubes should of did it a while ago but oh well,

I mean it really depends on what your needs are/ what you are trying to achieve. If you can control the heat then yea, bare bulb reflector wing all day, but if heat is an issue, gotta go with the hood. The cooltubes only if there is a height issue. Bottom line, you don't glass between your bulb and your plants if you don't have to

I use what is called a 'Batwing" Reflector.
