What Leaf Surface Temperature are you running under high powered LEDs?

Running ~75-80F LST and 60-75% humidity under my quantum boards. I tried pushing the temps higher but was getting some tacoing going on so I just backed off and keep it in this range.

what LST are you guys running or aiming for in veg and what are you running in flower under your high powered LEDs?

When I check the upper colas, they would usually run at 80 degF with a 83 degF room temp.

same. its the only one ive found that lets you adjust rm and leaf temperature differential.

As for vpd: use it as a guide not as a goal. If you feel theres a problem related to transpiration and or temps have a look where you are with vpd and adjust in the correct direction. Keep adjusting until plants have perfect plant stance: praying and looking happy. Your plants will know better than the forum what it needs so keep your attention fixed on the plant.

You should definitely be able to push temps a bit more generally speaking. Remember that spectrum will also play into this, a higher cct with more blue will make your plants transpire more. Imo: the lower the intensity the more important to have a spectrum with good amounts of blue.

saw that article the other day and thats why I was wondering if anybody was running higher than 80F. it claims 25-35C(77-95F). probably more strain dependent than anything.

I read black dogs LED study and they claimed 72-86F with atmospheric co2 400ppm. My veg is ~1k ppm.

I waited a few days after I potted them and tried pushing them but it was too soon. I figured I could push it alittle more. Ill wait til theyre a little older. It could also be strain related. Im also thinking its indica dominant so lower range might suite them better. The sativa doms or pure sativas might be able to go mid to high 80s LST.

Whenever you increase intensity its wise to increase temps a bit. Tacoing is not only heat related, it can also be down to too much light.
For a good read on light intensity, temps, purple stems etc: look up High Irradiance Response.
Also: if you have extra ppm of co2, more reason to get higher temps. This could be the root of your probs: high CO2 shutting the stomata.

HLG uses high powered diodes on their QB96 elite v2, not sure which diodes exactly though.

Im pretty sure those are lumileds 5050, 4000k 70cri and 630nm and 660nm, 5050.

Nice find , but kinda wondering what’s the VPD in early veg with lights off ? Most of the charts shared here are for flowering with lights on
