what makes a plant smell during veg

Real skunk/ads smell coming from my one plant in veg. No pest or rotting.

I have one plant who went through a rough preveg, its on like day 25 and has crystals coming out the top and getting lower. It smells stronger than any plant...weird

Plants in veg still have small trichomes. They smell the most when stressed or hot, bumped into etc. Anything that ruptures trichome heads or brings the waxy coating to melting temps/raising vapor pressures on the contents inside.

The same thing cause flowering plants to stink, and if care is taken flowering plants dont stink either
