What Materials For Pipe?? Help?

I was just wondering what kind of metals are safe for the stem and bowl of a pipe?

I heard copper can kill you because of oxides.. and such,,, and aluminum is also dangerous

I want to make a pipe but i want to be able to use it long term and not kill myself.... how about steel, or brass?

use a plastic bottle with a pen tube make sure no air leaks use a small socket for the bowl takes 5 min to make and its a bubler style
