What part of the flower cycle to change bulbs?

I'm a few weeks into the third grow on my set of bulbs, and I've been thinking its best to change bulbs right when the girls have white capped rather than in between cycles. This way the bulbs put their peak/top output that they will have right when the plants are putting their weight on.

Would this have any beneficial effect?

I think I'll try it?

Interested to here other thoughts...

I wouldn't mess around changing lights in the middle of bloom unless you had a failure. That said it varies, I run several hps bulbs for about 6 months, then change out and keep the old ones for spares. Some people change out every cycle and some run for a year without changing.
