i don't think one method or the other is going to produce a stronger strain if both are given optimal conditions and are the same genetics, they should be pretty equal..

as far as taste, from what i hear nothing beats organic.. i have a good friend who lives in florida, and every single time she gets bud grown in hydro, she can tell it a mile away. the very first hit she's all, fuck this hydro shit bud, lol..
idk if i never had much hydro or what, but i can't really tell the difference myself..

I know sometimes I've smoked bud that almost had a fishy taste. Like they used fish emulsion for fertilizer.

I do both depending on what my patients want or care about. I find chems easier to dial in to boost production to the optimum, but if you really know your strain and your nutes, I see no reason why you couldn't do just as well with organics.

I humbly offer you a little experiment I did on the subject. https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/524474-great-flushing-experiment-objective-depth.html#post7368602

As far as quality is concerned, plants don't have the same kind of digestive system as us, so like, when you eat a bunch of onions your sweat stinks like onions, right? Not so with herb. After doing alot of research into it, I have found that it makes no difference. What does make a difference is the VARIETY of nutrients available to the plant. Most organic nutrients are much more complex and will provide the plants with the building blocks to make different compounds in the bud. Also, fish fertilizer stinks so bad that the smell of the room can actually seep into them... learned that the hard way. Fish ferts are for outside...
